A honeymoon is not a standard hotel stay. The choice of where you begin the first night, or the first week, becomes a personal story you keep for life. For couples who want to begin in Amsterdam, Faralda Crane Hotel offers three suites no other hotel can replicate. Fifty metres above the IJ on a restored harbour crane, with private access to a rooftop jacuzzi and champagne breakfast in the suite. No lobby with other guests, no restaurant with outsiders. Just the two of you, and a setting that exists in no other city.
The three suites all suit honeymoons, each for a different reason.
Two levels at the highest point of the crane. Freestanding bath, panoramic views over the IJ and Amsterdam Centre. For couples who place priority on elevation and space, with the Secret Suite as the most exclusive of the three.
Two levels, king-size bed, rain shower, full jacuzzi access. More spacious interior than Mystique. For couples seeking comfort and volume. Discover the Free Spirit Suite →
All three suites share access to the same private rooftop jacuzzi at fifty metres of elevation.
Designed specifically for romantic stays. Curated art on the walls, atmospheric lighting that creates a different experience by day and by night, a freestanding bath inside the suite itself. For couples who want to begin the honeymoon in an ambiance built explicitly for two.
For honeymoon requests, the stay is prepared based on what you specify in the booking form. Standard inclusions, with optional elements available.

Three moments that honeymoon guests typically describe as the most memorable.
Arrival by ferry. The NDSM yard is reached by the free F4 ferry from Centraal Station. Twelve minutes on the IJ for the arrival itself, with the crane visible across the water. For many couples, the cinematic beginning of the honeymoon.
Champagne in the jacuzzi at sunset. Faralda can reserve a specific jacuzzi window on request, which in practice is almost always private anyway. Sunset across the IJ over Amsterdam, with champagne in the bath, remains the most visual moment of the stay for most honeymoon couples.
Morning in the suite. The next morning, the champagne breakfast is served in the suite itself, without you having to leave. For couples who want to begin the first morning of the honeymoon undisturbed, this is the ritual.
A honeymoon is not a weekend. For longer stays, Faralda works with several options.
One to three nights. Standard stay for couples who choose Faralda as the starting point of the honeymoon, followed by another destination. Enough time for the full Faralda ritual.
Four to seven nights. For couples who choose Amsterdam itself as the honeymoon destination. Faralda offers itineraries on request, including restaurants, art collections, and limited-access locations bookable only through concierge introduction.
Full Faralda Crane buyout. Exclusive use of the entire crane for longer stays or honeymoons where privacy is the absolute priority. Separate rates on request. Discover the full Faralda Crane buyout →

Answers to the questions we receive most often about honeymoons at Faralda.
Faralda Crane Hotel offers three suites specifically suitable for honeymoons. The Mystique Suite is the first choice due to its specifically romantic ambiance. The Secret Suite is a strong alternative for couples who place priority on elevation and space.
Standard: champagne breakfast in the suite, welcome package, private check-in and concierge, access to the private rooftop jacuzzi, and bicycles. Available on request: flowers, specific wine, photography session, and reserved jacuzzi time at sunset.
All three suites start from €1,000 per night. Optional honeymoon elements are priced separately on request.
For summer months and around King's Day, Faralda fills up two to six months in advance. For specific dates, we recommend booking at least three months ahead. For flexible dates in winter, two to four weeks is usually sufficient.
Yes. Mention in the booking form that the stay is a honeymoon and which elements you wish. The team contacts you directly to arrange the details before arrival.
